E. Ham

Mrs. E. Hope Ham, age 84, of La Porte, Ind., died Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Golden LivingCenter-LaPorte. She was born Aug. 2, 1924 in Culver, Ind. to the late Glenn Reed and the late Kathryn Overmeyer Reed. She has lived in the LaPorte area for the last 5 years coming from Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Ham was employed by various doctors as a Registered Nurse for over 33 years and retired in 1988. She was a member Christ Presbyterian Church of Toledo, OH. Hope was a very good artist, she did free hand drawings. She loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. She was married to Robert Ham in Independence, MO who preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by her Two grandsons, Stephen Ham and Robert Ham both of Sanibel, FL; Two Sisters, Mrs. Patricia A. Paul Weaver of La Porte, Ind. and Mrs. Glenna Davis of New Carlisle, Ind. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Dr. Kevin Ham. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 4, 2008. Funeral service will be at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio, at 12:00 PM E.S.T. Saturday, December 13, 2008. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park.
