Duane Capron

Mr. Duane E. Capron, Jr., 62, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday December 11, 2009 at La Porte Hospital. He was born November 23, 1947 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Duane Capron Sr. and Joyce J. Meinke Capron. Duane worked at Howmet for four years and.Dietrich Industries for twenty-one years. He was a veteran of the US Army during Vietnam. Duane enjoyed NASCAR, riding his Harley, he enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and loved working in his garage. On July 28, 1979, in LaPorte, IN, he married Deborah Albertson, who survives. He is also survived by his mother, Joyce J. Capron; son, Jeremy Lori Capron of Valparaiso, IN; one brother, Larry Capron of Houston, TX; two sisters, Lynda King of LaPorte, IN, Nancy Capron- Moisan of La Porte, IN. Duane was preceded in death by his father. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, December 14, 2009 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday December 14, 2009 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jim Mandeville officiating. Cremation will take place.
