Douglas Holbrook

Mr. Douglas R. Holbrook, age 40, of Walkerton, Ind., died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. Mr. Holbrook was born August 28, 1964 in Floyd, KY to Ezra Holbrook and Stella Owsley Holbrook, who survives. Mr. Holbrook lived all of his life in the LaPorte area. On September 17, 1994 in LaPorte, Indiana, he was married to Lora Arnett, who survives. Mr. Holbrook was Self-employed, He was a Avid pool player, received several awards from pool tournaments. Surviving is his wife Mrs. Lora Arnett Holbrook; of Walkerton, IN, his parents, Ezra and Stella Holbrook of LaPorte, IN, Two Daughters, Mrs. Angela Eddie Metcalf of La Porte, IN, step- Daughter-Kayla Arnett of Walkerton, Ind. Three Sisters, Mrs. Pamela Noel of Grayland, Mich. Sister, Mrs. Liz Blankenship of La Porte, Ind. Sister-Melissa Holbrook of Rolling Prairie, Ind. Two grandchildren - Brandi and Ashley. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, May 28, 2005. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 28, 2005 , Rev. David Tripp officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
