Dorothy Luther

Mrs. Dorothy M. Luther, age 94, of 604 Roberts St., La Porte, Ind., died at 9:45 AM Saturday, December 24, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born June 17, 1911 in La Porte, Ind. to the late Ira Cummings and the late Nora Stahlberg Cummings, and she has live all of her life in the LaPorte area. Mrs. Luther was a homemaker and she was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Women?s Circle of the Church and she enjoyed ceramics. On May 23, 1931 in Crown Point, Ind. she married Hobart W. Luther who preceded her in death November 9, 1992. She is survived by her Two Sons, Mr. Larry Mary Ann W. Luther of La Porte, Ind., Mr. David Joan Luther of La Porte, Ind.; Three grandchildren Mr. Brett Luther of LaPorte, Ind., Mr. Todd Frieda Luther of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Scott Luther of Townsend, Wisc.; Three great-grandchildren, Mr. Trevor Luther of LaPorte, Ind., Miss Shelby Luther of La Porte, Ind., and Miss Savannah Luther of Townsend, Wisc. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2005 and 9:00 AM Thursday until time of the Service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2005, Rev. Richard N. Henry, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
