Dorothy Lindgreen

Mrs. Dorothy M. Lindgreen, 89, of 1900 Andrew Ave., LaPorte, died Saturday Feb. 7, 2004 at 1:05 p.m. at Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home. she was born Dec. 28, 1914 in LaPorte County, Indiana to Ira Clayton "Jack" and Emma Weisjohn Cites and has lived in the LaPorte area all of her life. Mrs. Lindgreen worked as a telephone operator for a number of years and also worked as a waitress. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of LaPorte and a member of the LaPorte Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. On Apr. 30, 1949 in LaPorte she married Gus A. Lindgreen, who died Sept. 10, 1990. Also preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters; and two brothers. Surviving are one step-daughter, Wendy Nelson-Cave of London, England; one step-grandson, Marc Nelson of Clinton Corners, NY.; one nephew, Charles Smith of Monroe, OH.; four nieces, Judy Cites of Seattle, WA., Mary Jane Schulz of Tacoma, WA., Cindy Bumps of Wenatchee, WA., and Sandy Francis of Belfair, WA. The funeral will be Saturday Feb. 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug Hadley officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service.
