Dorothy Hearne

Mrs. Dorothy F. Grube Hearne, age 90, of Walkerton, Ind., died Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, Ind. She was born on October 5, 1917 in Jefferson, Wisconsin to the late John Grube and the late Esther Sell Grube. Mrs. Hearne was employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator and she was also a homemaker. She was a Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Tracy, Indiana. She was also a member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Jefferson, Wis., Ladies Aide in Tracy and St. John Lutheran Church in Jefferson, Wis. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always had a smile on her face. She loved animals, knitting, crocheting, enjoyed playing solitaire, and reading. She had a strong Christian faith.... Married on July 2, 1938 to Carl Kemmerer who preceded in death Nov. 17, 1945. She remarried on June 26, 1948 in Jefferson, Wisconsin, to Robert C. Hearne, who preceded, December 19, 2000. She is survived by; One Daughter, Louise Sam Braya of Kenosha, Wis.; Three Sons, Robert J. Sheila Hearne of Hamlet, Ind., David Carol Kemmerer of Phoenix, Ariz., Wayne Margaret Kemmerer of Louisville, Ky.; Six grandchildren and Ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; one grandson, Craig and one brother, Leroy Grube Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2008 and at Tracy Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tracy, Ind. from 10:00 AM, Monday, September 29, 2008, until time of service. Funeral service will be at Tracy Immanuel Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2008, Rev. David Albertin, officiating. Interment will be at Tracy Cemetery in Tracy, Ind.
