Dorothy Cannon

Mrs. Dorothy M. Cannon, 74, of 1608 Farrand Ave., LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Monday May 17, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital. Mrs. Cannon had lived in LaPorte for the past fifty five years coming from Hymera, Indiana. Born October 5, 1929 in Hymera, Indiana, to Lawrence and Lola Turley Wraley, who preceded. She was married to Forrest Cannon on October 7, 1947 in Terre Haute, Indiana, who preceded June 5, 1969. Mrs. Cannon had worked for Berkel Corporation for twenty years, retiring in 1995. Surviving are two sons; Steve Marilyn Cannon and Billy Cannon both of LaPorte, two daughters; Diana Cox and Debra Billy Loop both of LaPorte, step-daughter May Jo Corwin of Delaware and one sister; Jane Norm Green of Brazil, Indiana. She was also preceded by one son; George Cannon, two sisters; Rose and Betty, four brothers; William, Bobby, Joe and Charles. Services will be held at the Haverstock Funeral Home on Thursday May 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
