Dorothy Brickey

Mrs. Dorothy May O'Dell Brickey, 86, of 302 W. 15th St., La Porte, Ind., died Friday, April 29, 2005, at 4:45 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in east Ham, England to the late Alfred O'Dell and the late Minnie Dalley O'Dell. Mrs. Brickey was a homemaker and was a member of Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening especially flowers, enjoyed traveling knitting and cooking. On January 7, 1945 in Sudbury Suffork, England she married Mr. LeRoy W. Brickey who survives. Also surviving are Three Daughters, Ms. Shelia Chester of La Porte, Ind., Miss Phyllis Brickey of LaPorte, Ind., Mrs. Ruth Thomas Hutchins of Columbus, Ohio; One Son, Mr. Gordon Linda Brickey of LaPorte, Ind.; Six grandchildren Three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death are her parents and Infant son Clifford Brickey; one sister Phyllis O?Dell; and one brother Cyril O?Dell. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2005 and Tuesday May 3, 2005 from 9:00 AM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2005 , Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
