Dorothy Adkins

Mrs. Dorothy Lenore Hitz Adkins, age 67, of La Porte, Ind., died Sunday, 9:49 AM January 6, 2008, at her daughters home in Anderson, Ind. She was born December 5, 1940 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Herman Hitz and the late Dorthy Irvine Hitz. She has lived in LaPorte most all of her life. Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker and enjoyed cross-stitching, crafts, and cats. She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was a mother, wife, sister and friend who will be missed by all. In 1975 she married Roger E. Adkins who has preceded in death. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bryan Frank of Anderson, Ind., Mrs. Sue A. Shirley of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; Two grandchildren; One great-grandchild; Two Sisters, Barbara M. Palmer of Milton, Fla., and Karen D. Hitz of La Porte, Ind. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband One Son, Brian E. Talbot, and One Great Granddaughter. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2008 and from 10:00 AM Wednesday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Interment will be at Pinhook Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
