Donna J. Winn, 88, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Brentwood Assisted Living in LaPorte, IN., with her family by her side.

She was born November 15, 1933 in Monon, Indiana, the daughter of George and Bertha (Stiller) Barber.

A longtime resident of La Porte, Donna was known as the waitress at the soda fountain in La Porte Pharmacy for many years. On August 17, 1952, she married James D. Winn, who preceded her in death on Thanksgiving Day, 2017.  Donna was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of La Porte. She and her late husband enjoyed many things together, including; camping in their RV, going to Nashville to see the Grand Ole Opry, going to Casinos and wintering in Florida. Donna was an excellent cook, making everything from scratch, and she and her mom used to make Easter Bunny cakes, selling them to repeat customers every year.  She enjoyed Notre Dame football and over the years collected all types of clowns. But Donna's true passion in life was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Terry (Teresa) Winn of La Porte, IN, Douglas Winn of Lehigh Acres, FL; three grandchildren, Abbey (Kevin) Leonard, Chad Winn, Amber (Charles) Gray; step grandchild, Jacque (Brett) Michael; great-granddaughters, Violet, Ruby, Eleanor, Emma; step great grandchildren, Aiden, Colt and Charli; 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Along with her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her parents; baby brother, Richard; brothers, Max and Don Barber and sister, Marcia Starr.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2022, 10:00 am - 11:00 am.  A Celebration of Donna's Life will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Thursday March 24, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick, officiating.  Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
