Mr. Donald C. Schleyer, age 77, of7322 N. Beech St. Tee Lake, La Porte, Ind., died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. He was born November 25, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Raymond Schleyer and Marie Braun Schleyer; who has proceeded. Also preceded is a sister, Charlotte Hansen, a brother, Raymond Schleyer On August 23, 1947 in Chicago, IL he was married to Elizabeth Strutner, who preceded January 16, 1999. Mr. Schleyer was employed by IBEW Local #134 and was a member of St. John Kanty Catholic Church. He was also a member of National Electrical Contractor Association, Member of IBEW Local #134 since 1947. Veteran of US Army, during the Korea Conflict. He is also survived by One Daughter, Diane Dehne of La Porte, Ind.; One Son, Mr. David A. Schleyer of Lansing, Ill.; One Sister, Sister-Mrs. Delores Dick Johnson of La Porte, Ind.; Four grandchildren, David Schleyer, Dana Schleyer, Jodi Walpole, Jeremy Dehne and one great-grandchild, Taylor Walpole. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, May 20, 2005. Funeral service will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2005 , Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday 05/20/2005 at Haverstock Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society P.O.
