Donald Mischke

Mr. Donald H. Mischke, age 75, of Fish Lake Walkerton, Ind., died 12:14 PM Sunday, October 21, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born December 1, 1931 in Chicago, IL. to the late Herman Mischke and the late Lucille Harper Mischke. He has lived in the LaPorte area since 1993 coming from Chicago, IL. Mr. Mischke was employed by Casting Engineers of Chicago for 20 years he then worked at Richco Plastics for 13 years and retired in 1993. He was a Veteran of US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict on the Aircraft Carrier the U.S. Leyte. He was a member of the American Legion Post #400 of Fish Lake. He remodeled homes in this area after retirement. He loved his aerobic classes at the YMCA. On June 6, 1996 in LaPorte, Ind. he married Stephanie Banck Heuer who survives. He is also survived by Three Daughters, Mrs. Dawn Jim Dosenbach of Parrish, Fla., Mrs. Denise Michael Oliver of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Desiree Jim Garthe of Phoenix, Ariz.; One Step-daughter, Mrs. Cindy Bill Lombardo of Des Plaines, Ill.; One Son Mr. Kenneth Brunna Mischke of Huntley, Ill.; One Step-son Mr. Scott Gemma Heuer of South Bend, Ind.; Six grandchildren Nicole, Anthony, Ryan Brianna Aidan, Bradley; Two Sisters, Mrs. Joan Blagaich of Bloomingdale, Ill., Mrs. Marilyn Kelly of Bloomingdale, Ill.; and many Nieces and Nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2007 and Thursday from Noon until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2007, Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
