Donald Fay

Donald G. Fay September 26, 1932-November 26, 2018 Donald G. Fay, 85, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born September 26, 1932 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Harry Edward Fay and Thelma Louis (LaBau) Harris. Donald and his wife owned and operated Fays Marina in La Porte, were it become incorporated into a business in 1984. Donald loved anything to do with water. He loved boating, swimming, and snowmobiling in the winter. On February 19, 1955, in Hobart, Indiana, he married Rose Marie (Mikolics) Fay who survives in La Porte. He is also survived by his two sons, Harry (Christy) Fay II of La Porte, IN, Mark "Tony" (Gina) Fay of La Porte, IN; daughter, Donna Marie Fay; sister, Shirley (Paul) Smith of Glendale, AZ; eleven nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Barbra Jo Caplan, and Georgia Hlodnecki. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Indiana where the family will receive friends Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with David Blount officiating.
