Donald Crail

Mr. Donald G. Crail, 84, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died Sunday January 10, 2010 at his home. He was born August 16, 1925 in Robinson, Illinois, the son of Robert H. Crail and Minnie Mize Crail. He has lived in the Kingsford Heights area for 62 years. Donald worked in the paint department of Allis Chalmers Corp. for 32 years and retired in 1979. He was a Veteran of the US Army during W.W. II, a member of the American Legion-Zook Farrington Post #434 of Kingsford Heights for 62 years, Kingsford/Union Volunteer Fire Department, he served as a council member on the town board of Kingsford Heights for 13 consecutive years, and a former director and coach of Hoosier Boys Club of Kingsford Heights for 10 years. Donald enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and wood working. On February 1, 1947, in Robinson, IL, he married Doris L. McDaniel Crail who survives. He is also survived by his three sons Larry Debbie Crail of Kingsford Heights, IN, Gregory Katherine Crail of La Porte, IN, Robert Deidre Crail of Rolling Prairie, IN; one daughter Donna Brent Campos of Rolling Prairie, IN; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Bernice Sempsrott, Hazel Deckard and Thelma Delizer. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13, 2010 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, January 14, 2010 10:00 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday January 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery.
