Don Wolfenbarger

Mr. Don A. Wolfenbarger, age 54, of La Porte, Ind., died 1:04 AM Saturday, December 1, 2007, at his residence in La Porte, Ind. He was born Oct. 16, 1953 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Alfred Wolfenbarger and the late Pearl Cavinder Wolfenbarger. He has lived most all of his life in the LaPorte area. Mr. Wolfenbarger retired 2000 from Teledyne Casting Service and was a member of Church of the Brethren. He had a tender loving sole he loved being with his grandchildren, making canes, hunting mushrooms and was very mechanically inclined. He built a motorized cart for the grandchildren to ride around the back yard. He Served in the U.S. Army. On March 22, 1975 in Michigan City, Ind. he married Patricia McKinney who survives. He is also survived by his Two Daughters, Ms. Anita Swoverland of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Melissa David Yandek of La Porte, Ind.; Three Grandchildren, Desarie Yandek, Caleb Yandek, Gabriel Yandek; Three Sisters, Mrs. Betty Kneifel of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Sue Sanders of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Chris Bradley of Lake of Four Seasons, Ind.; Four Brothers, Mr. Alfred Wolfenbarger of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Edward Wolfenbarger of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Michael Wolfenbarger of La Porte, Ind., and Mr. Theo Wolfenbarger of La Porte, Ind. He preceded in death by his Parents, One Grandson Hunter Swoverland; Two Brothers, Richard Wolfenbarger, and Robert Wolfenbarger. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2007 and from 11:00 AM Thursday until time of the Service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2007, Rev. Paul Nye officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
