Don Starnes

Mr. Don A. Starnes, 77, of 7501 N. Fail Road LaPorte, Indiana, died Thursday April 7, 2005 at 6:45 AM at his residence. Mr. Starnes was born January 5, 1928 in Lebanon, MO to Johnny L. and Esther Enyart Starnes who has proceeded. Also preceded in death are one sister and four brothers. Mr. Starnes has lived in the LaPorte area for 52 years, coming from Lebanon, Missouri. On October 18, 1952 in Lebanon, Missouri, he was married to Shirley Shelton, who survives. Mr. Starnes worked for the State Highway Department, in the LaPorte area as a Heavy Equipment operator, for 40 years, retiring in 1993. Mr. Starnes enjoyed fishing. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kelly Abelardo Pina of LaPorte, IN, Riki Starnes of LaPorte, IN, a brother, Mr. Olan Thelma Starnes of Lebanon, MO, a sister, Mrs. Gladys Adley Bingham of Lebanon MO, four grandchildren, Ky Starnes of LaPorte, IN, Mr. Samuel Musgrave of LaPorte, IN, Lucas Musgrave of LaPorte, IN, Gabriel Hernandez of LaPorte, IN. The Funeral will be on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 2:00PM at Haverstock Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Endres officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, April 9, 2005 from 12:00 PM until time of service, at Haverstock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
