Dixie Lee Halcomb February 10, 1936-April 3, 2016 Dixie Lee Halcomb age 80, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016. She is survived by her children, Lora Logan and Scott Halcomb; grandchildren, Monte (Cherokee) Logan and Tyler Logan; great granddaughter, Aubrie Logan; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; brother in law, Terry (Denise) Scrivner; sister in law, Sheila (Wade) Decker; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, John Martin and Tony Cummins; her Kingdom Hall family and feline friend, Jelly Belly. Preceded in death by her parents, LaVern and Silvy Rose; husband, Bud Halcomb; aunt, Ann Hlavsa; and great grandmother, Blanche Harden. Dixie was born on February 10, 1936 in LaPorte, IN. On January 31, 1960, she married Virgil 'Bud' Halcomb in Muncie, IN. She was a hairdresser for Polly Ann Beauty Shop in LaPorte, IN for many years. After retiring, she worked at Haverstock Funeral Home as a beautician until she was 76 years old. She enjoyed her garden and mushroom hunting. Dixie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 4:00 PM at The Kingdom Hall 1205 East Jefferson Avenue LaPorte, IN.
