Dean Haneline

Mr. Dean E. Haneline, 83, of La Porte, Indiana, died Sunday September 6, 2009 as the result of an auto accident. He was born August 6, 1926 in Huntington, Indiana, the son of Raymond Haneline and May Lee Haneline. Dean was manager of Dan's Body Shop for 32 years and retired in 1988. He was a member of the First Christian Church of La Porte and was active in several church committees. He was a Veteran of the US Army during W.W. II and a member of American Legion Post #83 of LaPorte. He was also a member of the Elk's Lodge and La Porte Yacht Club. On March 31, 1945, in La Porte, IN, he married Doris E. Dubois who survives. He is also survived by his son Daniel R. Jae Haneline of La Porte; granddaughter Adelle Lynn Haneline of La Porte; and a brother Fred Haneline of Huntington, IN. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, September 08, 2009 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, September 09, 2009 at the First Christian Church from 1:00 pm until time of the service. Services will be held at the First Christian Church Wednesday September 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Everett Shattuck officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana.
