David W. Williams, Jr. February 25, 1998-July 23, 2017 Mr. David W. Williams Jr., 19, of Wanatah, Indiana, passed away Sunday July 23, 2017 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, IN. He was born February 25, 1998 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the son of David W. Williams Sr. and Jamie H. Killin. David was a graduate of South Central High School where he played basketball for 4 years. He was a member of the Track Team for 3 years and was undefeated in the long jump. He graduated at the top of his class. He was a member of National Honors Society. David made a profound impact on everyone he had ever met with his confidence, humor, and infectious personality. He was known to light up a room the second he entered. He was a beautiful young man with the most beautiful "Hollywood" smile. He had a over abundance of friends who cherished and loved him and he will never be forgotten. David spent his summers working as a laborer with some of the greatest men he'd ever met at Satoski Brothers Excavating. David was currently attending Indiana University, Bloomington majoring in business management and would have been starting his sophomore year. He is survived by his mother, Jamie H. (Mary Goodwin) Killin, father, David W. (Deanna Hughes) Williams, Sr.; three sisters, Daphney Lynne Williams, Delaney E. Williams, Tara R. Woods; five brothers, Jax A. Markus, MJ R. Goodwin, Travis L. Woods, Trenton D. Woods, Jeremiah D. Williams; grandparents, Tobie and Jeff Cox, Andrew Killin III, and Frieda Williams; two great grandmothers, Barbara Scarborough and Clara Williams, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. David was preceded in death by his grandfather, Douglas W. Williams Sr. and a cousin, Julia I. Bell. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. The family will welcome friends Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm for visitation at the South Central High School Gym, 9808 S. 600 W., Union Mills, IN. 46382. A life celebration will be held at South Central High School Gym., Thursday July 27, 2017 at 6:00 pm with Rev. William Dixson officiating.
