David L Snow February 17, 1928- Mr. David L Snow, 87, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Advicate Christ's Medical Center He was born February 17, 1928 in Marion, Indiana, the son of Erna D Snow and Eula (Imler) Snow. David retired in 1988 from the Maintenance Department at NIPSCO after 38 years of service.He was a life long member and past State President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is now a member of the Plymouth area. On June 6, 1948 in La Porte David married Barbara Miller who preceded him in death Aug. 23, 1995. On Dec. 1, 1997 in Elizabeth Town KY he married Kay F. (Travis) Snow who survives. He is also survived by his three sons, Edwin (Sharon) Snow of La Porte, IN, Richard (Marjorie) Snow of Lafayette, IN, Donald (Susan) Snow of La Porte, IN; two stepsons, Glenn E. Oman, Jr. of La Porte, IN, Geoffrey Sellers of La Porte, IN; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Lily Johnson of Trenton, MO; brother, Robert Snow of Normal, IL. David was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Barbara Miller, daughter-in-law, Sharon Snow, three sisters, Mary Flash, Fern Stevens, and Edna Stricler; two brothers, Edwin E Snow, Allen Snow, and stepson, Gregory A. Oman. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, April 21, 2017, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with an Eagle Service held at 7:30 pm. Visitation also on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 9:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday April 22, 2017 at 10:00 am with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice.
