Dale Hileman

Dale H. Hileman, 67, of 7044 N. Fail Rd., LaPorte, IN, passed away, Wednesday, September 22, 2004 in LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, IN. He was born, April 7, 1937 in Michigan City, IN. to Elsie Costello and Howard Hileman, who preceded him in death. He had lived here for 12 years since his retirement, having grown-up in Michigan City and the LaPorte County area. Mr. Hileman was a teacher for thirty-three years at Tuttle Jr. High School in Crawfordsville, IN, until retirement. He graduated from Elston High School in Michigan City, IN, and Wabash College in 1958, received his Master?s Degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN in 1964. Mr. Hileman was a member of the First Christian Church of Michigan City, and Indiana State Teacher?s Association. He was a die-hard Cub fan, enjoyed reading, was a Mr. Fix-it type person, enjoyed working outdoors doing yard work. Survivors include six sisters; Ruth Bruce Gregg of LaPorte, IN, Jean Phil Hillman of Littleton, CO, Verna Mae Riley of Orange Park, FL, Peggy Hileman of Plainfield, IN, Phyllis Hileman of Fort Wayne, IN, Sandra Jim Bugg of Middlebury, IN; sister-in-law, Ann Hileman of Lagrange, IL, twelve nieces & nephews, and many great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; John Hileman. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM ? 8:00 PM Friday, September 24, 2004 at the Haverstock Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM Saturday, until time of the service.
