Cova Grassmyer

Mrs. Cova F. Grassmyer, 93, of 220 East Dunn Road New Carlisle, Indiana, formerly of LaPorte, IN, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Miller?s Merry Manor, in New Carlisle, IN. She was born September 5, 1911 in Adams County, IN to Mary Elizabeth Foster, who has proceeded. Mrs. Grassmyer has lived in the LaPorte area all of her life. On December 14, 1926 in Knox, Indiana, she was married to Daniel Grassmyer, who proceeded October 16, 1969. Also preceded in death is a sister, Dolly Green, a brother, Danny McCllelan. Mrs. Grassmyer was a Housewife / Homemaker; she was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Dailey of Salem, OR, Mrs. Alice Hayes of Ocean Shores, WA, two sons, Mr. Jerry Grassmyer of Hastings, MI, Mr. Robert Shelia Grassmyer of Roseville, MI, two sisters, Mrs. Roberta Elkins of Mishawaka, IN. Mrs. Emma Gene Baughman of New Carlisle, IN. Mrs. Grassmyer has 18 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 1:00 PM, friends may call on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from 11:00 AM until time of service.
