Clifford "Casey" W. Peting March 14, 1929-March 8, 2018 Clifford "Casey" W. Peting, 88, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at his home in La Porte, Indiana. He was born March 14, 1929 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Arthur Peting and Lesta (Mills) Peting. Clifford served in the United States Navy and Army for twenty-two years as an air traffic controller. He also worked as a maintenance man for the La Porte Park and Recreation Department. He was a former member of the VFW Post 1130 of La Porte, and enjoyed watching baseball, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Baker of Las Vegas, NV and many nieces and nephews. Clifford was preceded in death by both his parents, four brothers, Glen Peting, Earl Peting, Robert Leach, Vern Leach, four sisters, Phyllis Lynch, Barbara Nelson, Lorraine Keehn, Wanda Peting. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Patton Cemetery, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Noel C. Olse officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Full military honors will be conducted by the La Porte Honor Guard at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
