Clarence Morrison

Mr. Clarence Robert Morrison, age 83, of Hamlet, Ind., died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Hamilton Communities in New Carlisle, Ind. He was born June 7, 1922 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Henry Morrison and the late Inez Burden Morrison. He has lived in the LaPorte County area all of his life. Mr. Morrison was employed by Eastside Supply as a machinist for 42 years. He was a Veteran of US Army Tank Corp. during WW II, life-long member of Disabled American Veterans, a life time member of the Michiana Antique Auto Club. He also exhibited Antique Tractor at the LaPorte Co. Fair each year. On September 12, 1948 in Union Mills, Ind. he married Edith McEnterfer who preceded him in death on September 20, 1995. He is survived by his Sister, Mrs. Bessie Aikman of La Porte, Ind. and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, Two Brothers, Harry Morrison and H. Andrew Morrison and One Sister Gladys Martin. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2006 and from 9:00 AM Saturday May 13, 2006 until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 13, 2006, Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Interment will be at Kingsbury Cemetery in Kingsbury, Ind.
