Clarence Wayne Buford, 83, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, passed away Friday September 16, 2022 at Brickyard, Fountainview in La Porte, IN.

He was born September 22, 1938 in Deering, Missouri, the son of Woodrow Buford and Ruby (Cook) Buford.

Clarence lived in the La Porte area since 1956. He married Anna Lee (Southerland) Buford, who survives. Clarence enjoyed square dancing and traveling, especially to Tennessee.  He built houses and owned his own horses which he bred and raced, back when La Porte had a buggy race track.

Along with his wife, Clarence is survived by his three sons, Greg (Kathy) Buford of Michigan City, IN, Ronald Buford of Kingsford Heights, IN, Donald (Nancy) Buford of Grovertown, IN; sister, Jeannette Mayfield of Walkerton, IN; three grandchildren, Melisa, Hayley and Greg Jr.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wade Buford.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN.  Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be private.
