rs. Charlotte Mary Catherine Lilly Slater, age 92, of La Porte, IN, died Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. Mrs. Slater was born July 12, 1913 in LaPorte, IN, to Arthur Lilly and Lottie Clark Lilly, who has preceded. Mrs. Slater lived all her life in the LaPorte area. On September 17, 1929 in LaPorte, Indiana, she was married to Victor V. Slater, who preceded November 18, 1972. Mrs. Slater was a Housewife and was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist of Boston, Massachusetts. She was also a member of Past Worthy Matron and 50 year member of the LaPorte Chapter Eastern Star #0ES280, and Past Noble Grand and 50 year member of the Rose Rebbekah Lodge #408, Daughter's of the Nile #153, LaPorte Senior Citizens, she also enjoyed her family. Surviving , are two Sons, Mr. David Lee Nancy Slater of La Porte, IN, Mr. Daniel Gene Beth Slater of La Porte, IN, Three Grandaughter's, Sherry Henry, Kandi Tague, Michele Stromberger, Mrs. Slater has five Great-Grandchildren, and two Great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM , and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2005, and from 9:00 AM Friday October 21, 2005 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 10:30 AM Friday, October 21, 2005, with Reader Rick Carlson officiating. Interment will be at New Carlisle Cemetery in New Carlisle, IN.
