Charlotte Gangwer

Mrs. Charlotte M. Gangwer, 82, of 1717 Country Lane Dr., LaPorte, IN., died Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at 3:10 p.m. at the LaPorte Hospital. She was born February 10, 1923, in Monon, IN. to John and Edith Johnson McGuire and has lived in the LaPorte area since 1951 coming from Monon, IN. Mrs. Gangwer was an assembler at LaPorte Plastic for 23 hours and retired in 1980. She was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of LaPorte. On March 29, 1977 in LaPorte, IN. she married Walter Gangwer, who preceded in death on March 29, 1979. Also preceded in death are his parents; one daughter, Mrs. Marsha Hill; one son, Jerry Crowe; one grandson, Shawn Vick; two sisters, Mary Dixon and Dorothy Wester; and one brother, Charles E. McGuire. Surviving are two daughter, Cheryl Gerald Yaw of LaPorte, Susan Roy Runion of Rolling Prairie, IN.; one son Perry Phyllis Crowe of LaPorte, IN.; six grandchildren, Mark Shawn Crowe, Melissa Hill, Jason Lisa Runion, Derek Runion, Jeremy Crowe, Melissa Wilhelm; three Great Grandchildren, Thomas Hill, Alexis Veach, Seth Wilhelm; one brother, John Andrew McGuire of Madisonville, KY and one sister Betty Jane Linback of LaPorte. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Royce Ford officiating. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
