Charles "Chuck" R. Wallace September 25, 1933-July 15, 2015 Charles "Chuck" R. Wallace, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday July 15, 2015 He was born September 25, 1933 in LaGrange, Indiana, the son of Clifford Wallace and Helen (Thornburg) Wallace. Chuck was a farmer and retired from Sterling Express as a truck driver. He loved farming and loved watching the crops grow. Chuck also enjoyed antique tractors and watching "Da Bulls". Most of all Chuck loved spending time with his family. On November 26, 1993, in Michigan City, IN, he married Doris J.(Collier) Wallace. He is also survived by his three sons, Glenn (Kathy) Wallace, Michael Baskin, and Thomas (Edwina) Baskin; three daughters, Debra Lynn Wallace, Patty (Randy) Morgan, and Cheryl (Scott) Stanley; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Britton, and his former wife, Janet Wallace. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Richard Wallace. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2015, from 10:00 am until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Carol Nordstrom officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
