Charles Trim Jr.

Charles A. Trim Jr., 80, of 132 Sagamore Parkway, LaPorte, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at 6:15 p.m. at his home. He was born December 29, 1924 in LaPorte, IN. to Charles and Gladys Domigan Trim Sr. and has lived in the LaPorte area most all of his life. Mr. Trim was employed at the LaPorte Corporation until they closed. He then went to work for the LaPorte School Corp. and retired as the custodian supervisor in 1989 after 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene; he was the Sunday School Superintendent, a teacher, an usher and a trustee of the church. On September 18, 1948 in LaPorte, he married Vera Hoskins who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Carolyn Trim of Kansas City, MO.; two sons, Rev. Rodney Susan Trim of Organ, OH., Jeffrey Trim of LaPorte, IN.; three grandchildren, Erin Trim, Seth Trim and Jennifer Trim. Preceded in death are his parents and one sister Myrtle Thompson. The funeral will be Monday, March 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, LaPorte, IN. with the Rev. Rodney Trim and Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Haverstock Funeral home, and 10 a.m. Monday until time of the service at the church. Burial will in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
