Mr. Charles A. Stacy, 57, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday May 15, 2010 at La Porte Hospital. He was born August 8, 1952 in Jackson, Kentucky, the son of Earl Stacy and Patsy Miller Stacy. He has lived in the LaPorte, area for forty years, coming from Jackson, Kentucky. Charles worked as a crane operator for Teledyne Casting Service, retiring after twenty-seven years. He was a member of LaPorte Horseshoe Pitching Association. Charles enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing and bowling. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. On April 28, 1984, in LaPorte, IN, he married Dayna Eskridge Stacy who survives. He is also survived by his three sons - Steven Regina Stacy, James Stacy, Adam Stacy; three daughters - Tammy Dunn, Tara Stacy, Amber Stacy; eight grandchildren, Page, Holly, Alex, Alyssa, Abbigail, Bryanna, Brayden and Ryder; five brothers - Ellis Madeline Stacy of Jackson, KY, Thurman Judy Stacy of Jackson, KY, Shelby Mary Stacy of Jackson, KY, Clifford Marjorie Stacy of Union Mills, IN, Earl Barb Stacy of LaPorte, IN; five sisters - Gladys George Howard of La Porte, IN, Hazel Farley Mullins of La Porte, IN, Nancy Ritchie of La Porte, IN, Rose Johnny Mullins of La Porte, IN, and Lisa Kent Vallo of Portage, IN. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, J.B., Henry, Murlan, Harlan, and Joe Stacy. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, May 20, 2010 11:00 am, until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday May 20, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana.
