Charles Fullerton

Mr. Charles P. Fullerton, 84, of 111 Indiana 212, Michigan City, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at 7:25 a.m. at LaPorte Hospital. He was born January 20, 1920, in Chariton, Iowa, to Alexander and Etta Cramer Fullerton, and lived most of his life in the LaPorte area. Mr. Fullerton retired in 1983 as a welder from Alls-Chalmers Corp. after 25 years and was also a charter boat captain on Lake Michigan. He was a member of the American Legion of New Buffalo, Michigan and Steel Headers Fishing Club. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard. Surviving are two grandsons, Lee Fullerton of Sawyer, Michigan, and Michael Fullerton of Union Pier, Michigan; and his former spouse, Betty Franke-Polze of Knox. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Kendall. A private family service will be held. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place with burial of ashes at a later date.
