Catherine R. Hunt January 26, 1926-October 23, 2013 Mrs. Catherine R. Hunt, 87, of Elkhart, Indiana, formerly of La Porte, died Wednesday October 23, 2013 at Hubbard Hill Estates in Elkhart. She was born January 26, 1926 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Edward Rigler and Agnes (McMahon) Rigler. Catherine was a housewife, she was devoted to raising her 4 daughters, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. On May 5, 1956, in La Porte, IN, she married Orval Hunt who preceded in death November 2, 1968. She is survived by her 4 daughters - Janice (Kevin) Dean of Elkhart, IN, Christine Hunt of Olean, NY, Elaine (Greg) Cooper of Munster, IN, Julie (Steve) Bowell of Alden, IA; 3 Grandchildren - Andrew (Jaime) Dean, Kathryn (John) Anderson, Allison Petro; great grandchild - Kylie Dean; and a sister - Margaret Sayles of Milford, OH. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 brothers, Henry Rigler, John Rigler and William Rigler. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A life celebration will be held at Wills Township Baptist Cemetery, Rolling Prairie,IN on Monday October 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. G. Arthur Dean officiating, interment will follow.
