Carolyn Mcvay

Mrs. Carolyn S. McVay , 60, of Fairfield, California, died Wednesday November 25, 2009 at David Grant Air Force Hospital at Travis Air Force Base, CA. She was born October 11, 1949 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Harold W. Shrader and Helen T. Wood Shrader. On November 6, 1971, in Niles, MI, she married Raymond E. McVay who survives. She is also survived by her daughter Kelly MSgt. Robert Hartsock of Honolulu, HI; four grandchildren Cameron McVay, Courtney Hartsock, Tyler Hartsock, Mackenna Ardis; two sisters Sureta Buckner of Michigan City, IN, Sally Anderson of Knox, IN; two brothers Michael Shrader of San Diego, CA, John Shrader of Fairfield, CA. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, December 3, 2009 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, December 4, 2009 10:00 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday December 4, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. William McVay officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
