Carol A. Wesch

Carol A. Wesch, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at Northwest Health-La Porte, IN.

She was born July 1, 1946 in La Porte, the daughter of Kenneth Lain and Beatrice (Landwer) Lain.

A lifelong resident of the area, Carol graduated from Elston High School, class of 1964. She worked in the meat department at 5 Star market for many years before moving to Howmet and working in the wax department, where she retired in 2012. Carol believed in keeping busy and doing what she loved. Because of her love for dogs, she ran Biscuit Buddies, a doggie grooming business, for many years. Her crafting hobby turned into a very fruitful business as she went to different craft shows with her wreaths and flower arrangements. Dancing and music brought her pure joy and she loved hanging out by her pool, wearing her favorite sun hat and glasses. Carol's appearance was important to her, so her hair and nails were always immaculately done. Clothes shopping made her happy, as well as decorating and redecorating her home. Carol enjoyed a life well lived and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Candice (Paul Rouse) Meadows of La Porte, IN, Cassandra Norton of La Porte, IN; son, Ron Norton of FL; brother, Larry Lain; former husband of 35 years, William Wesch; longtime close friend, Anna Cowgill; nine grandchildren, Justin Norton, DeMira Hunter, Ciara Bealor, Brandi Donaldson, Bryant Donaldson, Andrew Bealor, Alex Bealor, Lori Leonard, Breanna (Wade) Young and 11 great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kenny Bealor and 1 great-granddaughter.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Cremation has been selected for final disposition.
