Carol J Miller January 29, 1941-June 6, 2015 Carol J Miller, 74, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday June 6, 2015 at her home. She was born January 29, 1941 in Matfield Green, Kansas, the daughter of Jim Weeden and Inez (Anderson) Weeden. Carol had worked thirteen years for American Rubber Products. She was a member of Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church. Carol loved to go fishing, camping, loved the outdoors. She loved her family and loved spending time with her family. On July 13, 1959, in Michigan City, IN, she married Melvin Miller who preceded her in death April 26, 1996. She is survived by her two sons, Rodney Miller and David Miller both of La Porte, IN; three daughters, Cathy (Dale) Bode of New Carlisle, IN, Shelley (Tom) Probst of La Porte, IN, and Toni Miller of La Porte, IN; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; one brother, Mike Weeden of KY; three sisters, Lois Weeden of La Porte, IN, Annetta (Ed) Gillooley of FL, Ula (Bob) Godfry of TN. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Larry Weeden, and Jim Weeden, and two sisters, Mary Knepp, and Peggy Henshaw. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday June 13, 2015 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Debbie K. Beason officiating. Cremation will take place.
