Calvin Huff

Calvin A. Huff August 20, 1923-April 25, 2013 Calvin A. Huff, 89, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Settler's House in LaPorte, Indiana, following a lengthly illness. He was born August 20, 1923 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Albert J. Huff and Anna E. (Swanson) Huff. Calvin was a lifelong resident of LaPorte and member of Bethany Lutheran Church. After graduation from LaPorte High School in 1941, he became a tool and die maker and worked at Allis Chalmers Mfg. Company for many years. Later he worked at Conrad Tool and Die Company in LaPorte. In 1947, he married Mavis (Ardnth) Huff who preceded him in death August 9, 1999. Calvin was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Foster and Arthur Huff and one sister, Ann Huff. He is survived by one daughter, Sherry Huff of Sacramento, California, one sister, Alberta Tolton of LaPorte, several nieces and nephews and family friend and caregiver, Donna McCleery. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN A private memorial service was held at Patton Cemetery, Thursday May 9, 2013 with Rev.
