Brian Porras, 31, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday November 2, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born September 15, 1992 in Munster, Indiana, the son of John Porras and Barbara (Brown) Porras who precedes him in death.

A lifelong resident to the Northwest Indiana area, Bryan worked in factory work with Kingsbury Castings for several years. Bryan was described by all who knew him as the most outgoing, bubbly, and caring person they knew. When he walked in the room, he was sure to bring a smile to each and every face with his goofy jokes and contagious laugh. Bryan was a member of the 2tooned Motor Sports with his brother Adam and an avid Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed playing darts with his brother John, attending softball games, and most of all spending time with his friends and family. Bryan was a kid at heart and found the most joy in spending time with his daughters and nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his step-father, Levi McDowell; grandparents, Gary (Penny) McDowell; two brothers, Adam (Shelby) Brown of La Porte, IN, John (Melissa Davis) Porras of Westville, IN; two daughters, Haylee and Aubree Porras, two aunts, Barb Stanley and Lori (Jeff) Kanzler; two uncles, Tom (Carrie) Brown and William Brown; his significant other, Samantha Kasinger of La Porte, IN and several nieces and nephews, Bella Brown, Jaxson Brown, Lincoln Brown, Aiden Porras, Carter Porras, and Harper.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends for a visitation Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, IN.
