Brenda J. Martin, 50, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 30, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born December 6, 1972 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Michael Hudson and Susan (Hill) Hudson-Benson.

On December 22, 2009, in Colorado Springs, CO, she married John Martin, who survives.

Residing in Indiana for most of her life, Brenda spent her teenage years living in Texas. She later moved to Pennsylvania but eventually found herself back home in Indiana. Brenda worked at Howmet from 2010 to 2015. She enjoyed playing darts, was a former crafter and was an avid online shopper. She had many pets over the years, but Whiskers the cat was her favorite.  Brenda's passion, though, was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is also survived by her father, Michael (Brenda) Hudson Sr. of  IN; mother, Susan (Bob) Benson of MN, two sisters, Jennifer (Aaron) Grassi of FL, Connie Hudson of CO; two brothers, Michael (Carolyn) Hudson Jr. of TX, Kevin (Lori) Hudson of La Porte, IN; three sons, Eric (Lyric) Hudson of IN, Arthur (Shay) Bloom of IN, Adam (Autumn) Bloom of TX; four daughters, Brittany (Jonathan) Bloom of PA, Brooke (Sebastian) Bloom of IN, Nikki Martin of IN, Monica Martin of IN; thirteen grandchildren and a large extended family.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Cremation will take place.
