Bobby Joe Lehman March 3, 1935-July 31, 2014 Mr. Bobby Joe Lehman , 79, of North Judson, Indiana, died Thursday July 31, 2014 at his home in North Judson. He was born March 3, 1935 in LaPanto, Arkansas, the son of David Lehman and Daisy M. (Baxley) Lehman. Bobby Joe worked as a Union Roofer for 50 years and retired in 1997. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant in the 101st Airborne unit "The Screaming Eagles". He was a member of the American Legion and the American Rifle Association and he loved to dance. He was a jokester he loved to make everyone laugh, and loved to tease his family. On October 20, 1960, in Michigan City, IN he married Mary Jo Buchan Lehman who preceded in death June 30, 2014. He is survived by his two daughters, Janet (Bobby) Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Jody (Milan) Lehman of La Porte, IN; five sons, Larry W. (Sue) Lehman of Michigan City, IN, Billy (Kim) Lehman of La Porte, IN, Robert (Linda) Lehman of La Porte, IN, Norman (Lainie) Lehman of La Porte, IN, Matthew (Jackie) Lehman of La Porte, IN; nine grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy N. (Vivian) Lehman of Westville, IN, David (Beth) Lehman of La Porte, IN; three sisters, Dora (David) Martin of FL, Winnie (Bob) Comfort of OH and Lola Davis of FL. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and wife Mary Jo Lehman. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 9:00 am until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 10:00 am with Pastor Roger Ash officiating.
