Billy Joe Naegele October 8, 1927-February 1, 2015 Mr. Billy Joe Naegele, 87, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died Sunday February 1, 2015 at his home in Kingsford Heights, IN. He was born October 8, 1927 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of John Naegele and Fanny (Griffith) Naegele. Billy worked as a truck driver. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force during WWII. Billy loved to fish and go camping by the river. He enjoyed turning wrenches and doing yard work. On June 10, 1968, he married Shirley (Jones) Naegele who preceded him in death January 1, 2007. On November 23, 1947, he married Alberta (Schultz) Naegele, who preceded him in death, in 1968. He is survived by his two sons, John (Darlene) Naegele of Kingsford Heights, IN, and Edmond Naegele; daughter, Debbie (Douglas) Wilhelm of La Porte, IN, step-son, John Tubbs; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; twelve great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Alberta Naegele, son, Joseph Allen Naegele, two daughters, Linda Wiltfong, and Billie Jo Teath, three brothers, John Naegele, Jr., Bobby Lee Naegele, James Naegele, and a sister, Margaret Augustine. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, February 6, 2015, from 11:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday February 6, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rodney Nielsen, officiating.
