Billy Hamblin

In Loving Memory of Billy G. Hamblin August 25, 1937-February 23, 2010 Mr. Billy G. Hamblin, 72, of Hamlet, Indiana, died Tuesday February 23, 2010 as a result of an auto accident in Kingsbury, IN. He was born August 25, 1937 in Millsboro, Kentucky, the son of Charlie Nelson Hamblin and Mable Meyes Hamblin. Billy worked at Teledyne Casting Service for several years then went to work for Kingsley Furniture Co. where he worked for nearly 20 years, retiring in 1997. In 1963, in Tennessee, he married Patricia Zachany Hamblin who survives. He is also survived by his six daughters, Cynthia Ross Carter of La Porte, IN, Mable Hamblin, and Deborah Hamblin both of Indianapolis, IN, Edna Hamblin of TN, Monique Hamblin of Louisville, KY, Hope Hamblin of Atlanta, GA; four sons - Billy Hamblin of Louisville, KY, James Hamblin of TX, Michael Hamblin of La Porte, IN, Chris Hamblin of La Porte, IN; one sister Peggy Hamblin of Baltimore, MD; one brother Bobby Berta Hamblin of Victorville, CA; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; Billy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce and brother Earl. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Saturday, February 27, 2010 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
