Beverly Ehrick

Mrs. Beverly J. Ehrick, 75, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home, under the loving care of family and VNA Hospice on Thursday, January 14, 2010. She was born July 16, 1934 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Carl G. Johnson and Mary Ruth Bennitt Johnson. Beverly was a homemaker; she also worked at Modine's and J.C. Penney's. She was a member of First Christian Church of LaPorte, Ladies Auxilliary of the LaPorte Post Office and Ladies Auxillary of the 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing Assoc. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing traveling and camping. She was in the LaPorte High School graduating Class of 1953. On September 25, 1954, in LaPorte, IN., she married Richard E. Ehrick, who survives. She is survived by her two daughters Brenda Dr. Samuel Cotton of Knightstown, IN, Rhonda Michael Smith of LaPorte, IN; two sons Brian Ehrick of LaPorte, IN, Scott Lori Ehrick of LaPorte, IN; six grandchildren, Shawn and Stuart Cotton, Jeremiah and Zachary Smith, Tyler and Cody Ehrick; four great-grandchildren, Spencer and Alex Cotton, Clayton Bertram, Sierra Cotton; one brother, Carl Judy Johnson of LaPorte, IN. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. There will be no services. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Haverstock Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Cremation will take place.
