Betty A. Watson July 22, 1942-May 17, 2015 Mrs. Betty A. Watson, 72, of La Porte, Indiana, died Sunday May 17, 2015 at Miller's Health and Rehab in LaPorte, IN. She was born July 22, 1942 in Rossville, Georgia, the daughter of Franklin Humphrey and Betty (Harris) Humphrey. Betty had worked for the Tecnico Steel Co. She was a care-giver for her parents. Betty loved to do yard work, and especially loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Kim (Mark) Lowery of Hamlet, IN, and Shelly (Charlie) Davis of Hamlet, IN; two grandchildren, Stephanie Lowery, and Rachel (Eddie) Farias; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Yerington, and Jeffrey Yerington; two brothers, George Lamar (Diane) Humphrey of Hamlet, IN, and Franklin (Sharon) Humphrey, Jr. of La Porte, IN. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Humphrey. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Patton Cemetery, Thursday May 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Terry Watson officiating.
