Betty Rameier

Miss Betty Jane Rameier, 87, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully Friday, February 5, 2010 in La Porte, IN. She was born January 20, 1923 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Walter Rameier and Sandra Peterson Rameier and she has been a life long resident of the LaPorte area. Betty retired in 1977 as head bookkeeper for La Porte Bank and Trust Co., where she worked for 35 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of LaPorte Business Girls. Betty Jane graduated from Kingsbury High School and the LaPorte Business School. She is survived by several cousins including Lorraine Anundson and family of PA, Lee and Phyllis Olson of La Porte, IN. She is also survived by many good friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a kindred spirit, Bob Schoof, Aunt Effie, and Uncle Ed. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Loftis officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Real Services of LaPorte Co.
