Betty Levenhagen

Mrs. Betty Barbara Levenhagen, age 80, of La Porte, Ind., died 2:53 PM Monday, May 7, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. She was born January 9, 1927 in Sullivan County, Ind. to the Floyd Alexander and the late Grace Flynn Alexander. She has lived in the LaPorte area since 1945 coming from Sullivan Co., Ind. Mrs. Levenhagen was a Homemaker and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of VFW Women's Auxiliary #1130 of LaPorte and Volunteered at the Salvation Army. On June 28, 1947 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Leslie Levenhagen who preceded in death November 24, 1995. She is also survived by her Two Sons, Mr. Brian Judy Levenhagen of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Alan Levenhagen of La Porte, Ind.; Seven grandchildren Carrie Ann Levenhagen, Laura Levenhagen, Mary Levenhagen, Matt Levenhagen, Sarah Levenhagen, Rachel Levenhagen, Craig Levenhagen; One great-grandchild; Four Sisters, Norma Alexander of Terre Haute, Ind., Mrs. Rose Mary Siverson of Terre Haute, Ind., Mrs. Wilma Kitchings of Grovetown, Ga., Mrs. Helen Collings of Kingsbury, Ind.; Four Brothers, Mr. Billie Joe Alexander of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. John Alexander of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. Darrell Alexander of New Lebanon, Ind., Mr. Gerald Alexander of Nashville, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Two Sons, Dennis Levenhagen, Terry Levenhagen; One Grandson, Cory L. Levenhagen; Three Brothers, Paul Alexander, Delbert Alexander, Grover Alexander; and Two Sisters, Phyllis Alexander and France Cole. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2007 and Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 10, 2007, Rev. Joseph Loftis and Rev. Carl Fitchett officiating.
