Betty Albertson

Betty J. Albertson, age 83, of La Porte, Ind., died Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Golden Living Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, Ind. Betty was born on March 29, 1925 in Princeton, Indiana to late Harvey Farrar and the late Louella Dunlap Farrar, she spent most of her life in the LaPorte, Ind. area. Betty was a homemaker, she loved to dance and loved family and friends get-togethers. She enjoyed country music and enjoyed working for American Home Foods, Inc. for twelve years. On April 20, 1941 in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Charles F. Albertson, Sr., who preceded her on February 15, 2004. She is survived by her; Five Daughters, Judy Duensing of La Porte, Ind., Roberta Galloway of La Porte, Ind., Marcia Wilbert Strefling of Port Charlotte, Fla., Betty Igou of Scottsburg, Ind. and Deb Duane Capron of La Porte, Ind.; Three Sons, Robert Albertson of La Porte, Ind., John Tina Albertson of La Porte, Ind. and Rick Angie Albertson of La Porte, Ind.; Thirty Two grandchildren and Several Great-grandchildren; and Several Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and Husband, Charles F. Albertson, Sr.; One daughter, Sandy Okresik; Two sons, Ron Albertson Sr., Charles Albertson Jr.; One sister and Five brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2008 and from 9:00 AM until time of service on Saturday, November 22, 2008. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2008, with Rev. Dan McDonald, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind.
