Betsy J. Stevens March 10, 1930-March 30, 2017 Mrs. Betsy J. Stevens, 87, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana. She was born March 10, 1930 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Monroe Wiltfong and Lillie (Cimmell) Wiltfong. Betsy was a Chicago Cubs Fan, she enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. On May 29, 1948, in La Porte, Indiana, she married Arthur Stevens, who preceded her in death January 29, 1998. She is survived by her two daughters, Dianna Krush of Romeoville, IL, Linda (Jim) Evans of Booneville, KY; son, Roger Stevens of La Porte, IN; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Linda Stevens of La Porte, IN. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Sue, son, Richard Stevens, grandson, Timmy, three sisters, Mary Freese, Ruth Mitch, and Frona Willis; three brothers, Hank Stevens, Clarence Stevens, and Wilson Stevens. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Springville Cemetery with Pastor Dave Willson officiating. Interment will follow at the Springville Cemetery.
