Bernice Bernth

Mrs. Bernice V. Bernth, age 84, of La Porte, Ind., died 8:10 PM Saturday, March 8, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born March 16, 1923 in Chicago, IL to the late Andrew Sieazeka and the late Katherine Bafia Sieazeka. Mrs. Bernth was employed by K-Mart as a clerk for eight years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Bernth was very family oriented she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. On October 16, 1948 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Henry A. Bernth who preceded in death June 20, 2005. She is survived by her One Daughter, Mrs. LuAnn Bacon of Greenville SC.; One Son Mr. Dennis Tammy Bernth of Mill Creek, Ind.; One Step-Son Mr. Robert Martha Bernth of LaPorte, Ind.; Seven grandchildren, Christopher Bernth, Rev. Erik Bernth, Jason Bernth, Sarah Bernth, Steven Bernth, Krystl Vincent, Leia Vincent; and Five great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 11, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM Wednesday. Funeral service will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 12, 2008, Rev. Ian Williams officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
