Benjamin Hicks

The graveside service for Mr. Benjamin L. Hicks, 61, of 4608 E. CR 1000 N., LaPorte, will be Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Posey Chapel Cemetery, LaPorte, with Rev. Larry Trueblood officiating. He died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at 7:45 p.m. at the LaPorte Hospital. Friends may call Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service at the cemetery. A memorial Luncheon will be held at the Springville Free Methodist Church following the service. He was born January 8, 1943, in LaPorte, IN. to Orval and Bessie Webb Hicks and has lived in the LaPorte area all of his life. On October 18, 1996 in Georgia he married Marceil Nace who survives. Also surviving are his mother Bessie Hicks of LaPorte, IN.; five sons, Benjamin Sandy Hicks of Michigan City, Dennis Celine Hicks of LaPorte, IN., David Dee Hicks, Fred Hicks, Jim Hicks all of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Kim Scott Yettaw of Michigan City, IN.; two sisters, Fay Miller of Rolling Prairie, IN., Betty Rose of LaPorte, IN.; nine grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
