Barbara J. Williams December 1, 1941-May 21, 2013 Mrs. Barbara J. Williams, 71, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday May 21, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born December 1, 1941 in Friendsville, Maryland, the daughter of Lawrence Schroyer and Ruth (Beatty) Livingood. Barbara had worked for Whirlpool Mfg, and was co-owner of Good Time Amusement. She was a member of First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie, President and Treasurer of the Christian Woman Fellowship at the church. Member of the Rolling Prairie Gleaners, Secretary of the Rolling Prairie Business and Community Association, Secretary and Treasurer of the Rolling Prairie Community Center, a member of a Home Economic Club and was active with God's Golden Warriors and Faithful Friends. On June 3, 1961, in Hopwood, PA, she married Donald Williams who survives. She is also survived by her 2 daughters - Paula Jean Pollock of Edwardsburg, MI, Vicki Jo Williams of La Porte, IN; 4 grandchildren - Joshua (Krystyna) Williams, Danielle Nicole Williams, Charity Nicole Pollock, Gabriel Don (Meagan) Pollock, and 1 great-grandchild - Kaydence Elizabeth Hill; 2 sisters - Shirley Mullins of Reno, NV, and Alana Layhue of Hopwood, PA. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elva Marie Schroyer. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 9:30 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday May 25, 2013 at 10:30 am with Rev. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Cremation will take place.
